Director Lokesh Kanagraj has announced that his hopes for a superhero film with Aamir Khan have sadly not materialized as discussions have wrapped up. As a longtime follower of Khan’s cinematic journey, Kanagraj revealed they had numerous meetings to consider the project’s potential. Despite this setback, he is still looking forward to the possibility of working together down the line. Aamir Khan and Lokesh Kanagraj teamed up together for the first time when they worked in Coolie, Lokesh was directing his first film with Rajinikanth and Aamir was a cameo in the film. And soon after buzz began doing the rounds that Aamir and Lokesh are planning to come together for a superhero film, in few interview Aamir even confirmed that he’s in talks with Lokesh for a film.And soon after the whispers began to do the rounds that the talks have fallen off but there was no confirmation. But the first sign of talks falling off came with Lokesh announced his next film with Allu Arjun and incidentally it was also a super hero film, it began to get reported that it was the same film that Lokesh had offered to Aamir first.And now Lokesh in his latest press conference confirmed that talks with Aamir have fallen off.

He mentioned that he has been a big Aamir Khan fan since his childhood. He also stated that both of them met many times and were discussing a project but things didn’t materialize. But he hopes to work with him at some point in future.Lokesh who is also all set to make his debut as an actor with DC directed by Arun Matheswaran opposite Wamiqa Gabbi, also mentioned that he has played a cameo in H Vinoth and Thalapathy Vijay’s Jana Nayagan-which is currently stuck in a censor limbo. He said that the director of the film called him one day and asked him to make an apperance in the film and as a friendly gesture -he went and did it.
