Ralph then replied, and dropped a potential clanger: “I’ve already said, I think Cillian Murphy is very good.
“Very good. Very good choice. I think they’ve cast it, haven’t they?”
As it dawned on him that the news may not have been public, he said: “I don’t know. I thought they had.”
While the actor who will play Voldemort has yet to be officially unveiled, the three new actors taking on the roles of Harry, Hermione and Ron have been revealed.
Dominic McLaughlin will star as Harry, while Arabella Stanton and Alistair Stout will portray Hermione and Ron respectively.
Showrunner Franscesca Gardiner and lead director Mark Mylod said: “After an extraordinary search led by casting directors Lucy Bevan and Emily Brockmann, we are delighted to announce we have found our Harry, Hermione, and Ron.

“The talent of these three unique actors is wonderful to behold, and we cannot wait for the world to witness their magic together onscreen.
“We would like to thank all the tens of thousands of children who auditioned. It’s been a real pleasure to discover the plethora of young talent out there.”
In the movies Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint starred as Harry, Ron and Hermione.
All three reached out to their counterparts for the new series, despite the criticism they’ve suffered for supporting transgender rights from author JK Rowling.
The new series is filming now and is expected to be released on HBOMax in 2027.
