Tom Brady: I’m so happy for former Patriots teammate Mike Vrabel

The last time the Patriots went to the Super Bowl, Tom Brady was their quarterback.

Fast forward seven years later, Brady will be watching his former team take on the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl 60.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion was on the call during FOX’s broadcast of the Seahawks’ NFC Championship Game against the Los Angeles Rams. Shortly after New England punched its ticket to Levi’s Stadium with a win over the Denver Broncos, Brady reacted to the news.

“Just so happy for Mike Vrabel, a former teammate of mine,” he said. “Went to New England, no one was quite sure how they’d do. Back-to-back 4-13 seasons, and they turn into a road AFC victory in Denver. I know how hard that is. Josh McDaniels has done an incredible job as coordinator. Drake Maye, that defense. This is gonna be a hell of a Super Bowl matchup.”

Brady added he’ll be in the Bay Area — where he grew up — for the game.

The Patriots came into the 2025 season with a lot of questions. They didn’t hesitate to move on from Jerod Mayo after a failed 2024 season, and Vrabel came in and immediately changed the culture.

New England started the year 1-2, but rattled off 10 straight wins and finished 2025 with a 14-3 record en route to an AFC East title, AFC Championship and now a Super Bowl appearance.
