Jude Riordan has become a beloved fixture on ITV’s Coronation Street over recent years, portraying youngster Sam Blakeman – but how old is the actor?
Jude became part of the ITV soap in 2020, taking on the role of Sam Blakeman. He arrived on the cobbles as Nick Tilsley’s (Ben Price) secret son and quickly won over viewers.
Sam has been at the centre of several major storylines on the programme, including the heartbreaking death of his mother Natasha Blakeman (Rachel Leskovac), who was murdered by criminal Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor).
Recently on the cobbles, a significant new plot has emerged for Sam after he began questioning the relationship between athletics coach Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon) and Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale).

As viewers know, Megan is grooming Will and is expecting his child. Their relationship has remained hidden from his family and friends until now. This week, however, Sam has begun to grow suspicious about what’s happening between Megan and Will.
In Monday’s episode (January 26), after spotting Will wearing a jacket that had been left at Megan’s flat, Sam connected the dots and confronted Will about whether he was involved in an inappropriate relationship with Megan.

Will immediately denied it and dismissed Sam’s concerns, but it was obvious that Sam wasn’t convinced. Later, the situation became more menacing when Megan confronted Sam and issued a subtle threat to ensure his silence.
Beyond the cobbles, it’s safe to say viewers have been absolutely gobsmacked lately by how much Sam actor Jude has matured, with many curious about the young star’s current age.

On a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, one viewer commented: “Sam looks different is it the same boy.” Another fan remarked: “Sam has grown up,” whilst a third observed: “Sam has aged a couple of years now.” Jude is presently 14 years old and will celebrate his 15th birthday this May.
Outside of his Coronation Street role, Jude has appeared in productions such as Channel 4’s documentary The Secret Life of 4, 5 and 6 Year Olds back in 2017 and took on the character of Little Phil in Katy. He also featured in Sky One’s Brassic as Tyler Croft – with his on-screen mother being played by former Coronation Street actress Michelle Keegan.
