Amanda Owen has shared an update from life on the farm, admitting they’ve had to deal with some “dismal” weather.

The Our Yorkshire Farm and Our Farm Next Door star regularly updates her Instagram followers on how things are going at Ravenseat, which she works with her ex, Clive, and their brood of nine children. In her latest post, she confessed that the weather had been a bit dreary.

Sharing snaps showing her in the fields with the sheep with the wind whipping her hair around her face, Amanda – aka the Yorkshire Shepherdess – posted: “Goodness me there’s been some dismal kinda days weatherise (sic).

“Makes me think that it would be smarter to enjoy the great outdoors from the even greater indoors,” she admitted.

“It’s a tough life at times, however, the smile tells us the reward you receive at times,” noted another fan.

The star, 51, has been a huge favourite with viewers since starring in Our Yorkshire Farm. When it wrapped, Channel 4 commissioned a new series called Our Farm Next Door, which follows the family as they restore a derelict building near their farm.

Describing the series, Amanda recently told her followers on Instagram: “Countryside, animals, family, relationships, characters, history… it’s not a soap opera, definitely not Emmerdale, it is not Countryfile, not Grand Designs, it isn’t Victorian farm. It just is not any one thing, not conventional, educational or motivational.

“You just should watch it and take away from it whatever it is that interests you personally.”
