Rachel Weisz and Leo Woodall Get Provocative in First Look at ‘Vladimir,’ Netflix Limited Series Sets Release Date

Netflix has set a March 5 global premiere date for “Vladimir,” a new limited series adapted from Julia May Jonas’ acclaimed novel of the same name.
The eight-episode series stars Rachel Weisz, who also serves as an executive producer, alongside Leo Woodall (“The White Lotus”) and John Slattery “(Mad Men”). The show is produced by 20th Television in association with Sharon Horgan’s Merman and Small Dog Picture Company.
Per the official logline, “When a passionate but reckless professor’s (Weisz) world begins to unravel, she finds herself dangerously fixated on her magnetic new colleague (Woodall)…As boundaries blur and secrets simmer, she’ll risk everything to bring her most scandalous fantasies to life.”
First-look photos and teaser art for the series have also been released, which can be seen below.
The ensemble also includes Ellen Robertson, Jessica Henwick, Matt Walsh, Kayli Carter, Miriam Silverman, Mallori Johnson, Tattiawna Jones and Louise Lambert.
Jonas, who created and wrote the series, executive produces alongside Horgan, Stacy Greenberg and Kira Carstensen of Merman; Jason Winer and Jon Radler of Small Dog Picture Company; and filmmakers Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini.
Behind the camera, Berman and Pulcini direct the first two episodes, while Francesca Gregorini helms episodes three, six and seven, and Josephine Bornebusch takes on episodes four and five.
