The Tennessee Titans are hoping to hire Brian Daboll as their offensive coordinator under head coach Robert Saleh, multiple league sources said on Tuesday, although it’s still possible that Daboll could land the Las Vegas Raiders’ head-caoching job.

Daboll was the head coach of the New York Giants from 2022 to until November of 2025. He previously spent four seasons running the Buffalo Bills’ offense.

His experience in Buffalo helped establish him as one of the league’s respected offensive minds, and he was believed to be a top target for the Titans’ OC role. Daboll interviewed for the Titans’ head-coaching position earlier this month, but the organization ultimately selected Saleh for the job. He also interviewed for the Bills’ head-coaching job; they hired Joe Brady on Tuesday. The Raiders’ job remains open.

The Giants fired Daboll in November following a 2‑8 start to the 2025 season, ending his tenure in New York with a 20‑40‑1 record. During his first season with the Giants in 2022, Daboll oversaw a decent campaign from former quarterback Daniel Jones and the offense to finish with a 9-7-1 regular-season record and earn the 2022 AP NFL Coach of the Year award. However, New York didn’t match its success in subsequent seasons, finishing 30th and 31st in scoring in 2023 and 2024, respectively, with records of 6-11 and 3-14.

The Giants continued to struggle in 2025 after releasing Jones and signing veteran quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston in free agency and selecting Jaxson Dart in the draft. Daboll benched Wilson for Dart after three games to start the 2025 campaign, but despite Dart’s promise, a concussion that sidelined him for two games and the team’s lack of wins spelled the end of Daboll’s tenure in New York.

Now, he could move to a Titans franchise looking to reshape its coaching staff under Saleh. Tennessee, which finished with a 3-14 record last season, has not reached the playoffs since the 2021 season and hasn’t reached the Super Bowl since a loss to the St. Louis Rams during the 1999 season.
