Abimbola Signs Up For More

The 18-year-old has yet to figure since at senior level but after a spell out injured was back in action for the B Team last week and this afternoon came off the bench to help the Whites to a 1-1 draw in the Central League.
And the Merseysider is delighted to have penned a new deal with Wanderers as he looks to keep progressing at the Toughsheet Community Stadium.
Abimbola said: “I’m made up to have been given a new contract and to be here for longer. It’s been a great start for me at Bolton and I am going to keep working hard to try to make the most of my opportunities wherever they come.”
Abimbola’s extended deal follows the award of a first professional contract for attacking midfielder Toby Ritchie as the Wanderers’ academy continues to create openings for the club’s young talent.
Sporting Director, Fergal Harkin, said: “David came to us a bit later but has really impressed with his attitude and determination to succeed. He’s deserved a new contract and will hopefully progress from here as another example of the pathway we are looking to create within the academy set-up.”
