‘Pretty Boy’ suffered the only defeat of his career nearly five years ago, to David Avanesyan, but has a tough test against Russian Murtazaliev.
The Russian currently holds the IBF world super welterweight title, and puts that, along with his 23-0-0 record, on the line against Kelly.
This will be the second defence of his title, with his last one coming in a third round TKO victory over Tim Tszyu in 2024, a clash in which he knocked his opponent down twice in round two and once in round three.

When is Bakhram Murtazaliev vs Josh Kelly, and where is it taking place?
- Bakhram Murtazaliev vs Josh Kelly takes place on Saturday, January 31.
- The main card is set to take place at 7pm GMT, with four fights currently scheduled for the main card.
- Ringwalks for the main event between Murtazaliev and Kelly are scheduled to take place at 9:29pm GMT.
- The Utilita Arena in Newcastle upon Tyne will host the event.
