CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Aircraft equipment falls during takeoff in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A piece of aircraft equipment fell during takeoff Monday in Las Vegas, airport officials confirmed.

Just after 9 p.m., as a British Airways flight departed from the Harry Reid International Airport, a tire fell during takeoff. Officials say the flight continued its route to London, where it landed safely.

LAS officials confirmed the tire was located on the airport’s property following the incident. The tire did not cause any damage to airport property or injury to any persons. They say the tire was retrieved from the LAS airfield.
