Sydney Sweeney Climbs Hollywood Sign and Decorates It With Bras

Originally appeared on E! Online

Sydney Sweeney had some immaculate late-night plans.

After all, the Euphoria actress scaled the Hollywood Sign to decorate it with garlands of bras ahead of the launch of her lingerie brand Syrn.

In the video posted to Instagram Jan. 26, Sydney, her dog Sully and a group of her friends loaded into a black van with duffel bags filled with lingerie and climbed up the Los Angeles landmark. After clipping the bra hooks together to create lacy festoons, the Anyone But You star adorned the massive white letters.

“Do you wanna start over here or there?” she asked in the clip, before teasing, “I’m going to get caught with this, right?”

The thumbnail for the video featured Sydney, donning a black lingerie set and sheer opera gloves, in front of a mirror that read “coming 1.28 xo Syrn.”

As for whether her public stunt was legal? The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce—which owns the iconic sign—told TMZ in a statement that “there was no permission granted to do this as is required.”

The organization is looking into the incident, telling the outlet in a separate statement, “We are still investigating how and under what authority (if any) the Sweeney production accessed the site of the Sign.”

E! News has reached out to reps for Sydney for comment and has not yet heard back.

Ahead of her brand’s launch, the 28-year-old reflected on creating a size-inclusive line that ranges from 44 sizes.

“I wanted to create a world and a feeling,” she told Elle in an interview published Jan. 27. “I wanted to build a lingerie brand that feels like it understands women instead of talking at them. Syrn is about confidence without pressure, feeling sexy, powerful, soft, playful, or all of the above, depending on the day. As the sole founder, my vision was to create something that lives in real life and doesn’t hold anyone back.”

“Boobs and bodies are like fingerprints,” she continued. “Everyone’s are different, and I wanted to design for that.”
