Here’s how Detroit Metro Airport ensures runways are safe on snowy days
The FAA issued a ground stop at Detroit Metro Airport on Wednesday night for what it listed as an “aircraft emergency.”
It did not specify what type of emergency was causing the ground stop. The delay is not weather related.
The ground stop was lifted around 7:20 p.m.
The ground stop was impacting incoming flights to the area.
Local 4 has reached out to the airport for more information.
