Football: CAF pour sanctions after AFCON final fiasco

This is how CAF sanctions Senegal and Morocco.
1. Senegalese Football Federation (FSF), the disciplinary jury has decided:
– Suspend Mr. Pape Bouna Thiaw, coach of the Senegal national team, for five (5) official CAF matches, for unsportsmanlike behavior, violation of the principles of fair play and integrity, and defaming the image of football.
– To impose a fine of $100 000 on Pope Bouna Thiaw.
– Suspend Mr. Iliman Cheikh Baroy Ndiaye, player of the Senegal national team, for two (2) official CAF matches, for unsportsmanlike behavior towards the referee.
– Suspend Mr. Ismaila Sarr, player of the Senegal national team, for two (2) official CAF matches, for unsportsmanlike behavior towards the referee.
– To impose a fine of 300,000 USD on the FSF for the inappropriate behavior of its supporters, which damaged the image of football.
– To impose an additional fine of 300,000 USD on the FSF for unsportsmanlike behavior of its players and its technical management, in violation of the principles of fair play, loyalty and integrity.
– To impose a fine of 15,000 USD on the FSF for indiscipline of the national team, five (5) players who have received warnings.
2. Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), the disciplinary jury has decided:
– To suspend Mr. Achraf Hakimi, player of the Moroccan national team, for two (2) official CAF matches, including one (1) match suspended for a period of one (1) year from the date of the decision, for unsportsmanlike behavior.
– Suspend Mr. Ismaël Saibari, player of the Moroccan national team, for three (3) official CAF matches, for unsportsmanlike behavior.
– To impose a fine of $100 000 on Mr. Ismaël Saibari.
– To impose a fine of 200,000 USD on the FRMF for improper behavior of the stadium ball collectors.
– To impose a fine of $100 000 USD on the FRMF for improper conduct of players of the national team and the technical management, invading the VAR examination area and interfering with the work of the referee, in violation of articles 82 and 83 of the Disciplinary Code of the Federation CAF.
– To impose a fine of 15,000 USD on the FRMF for the use of lasers by its supporters during the match.
3. Complaint from the FRMF:
The CAF Disciplinary Jury has rejected the claim introduced by the FRMF regarding alleged violations of articles 82 and 84 of the African Cup of Nations Rules, in connection with the final of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025
