An eyewitness reported today at 3:30pm (Thursday, January 29) that a man had been seen on top of a building on Cowley Road, near to Crown Street.
The road was subsequently shut by the emergency services with a police helicopter, eight police cars and a fire engine in attendance at least.

Police cars were seen blocking the section of Cowley Road both ways, with traffic piling up in the vicinity.
In photos seen by this paper a man is seen on top of a building, with police surrounding the scene.
Both Thames Valley Police and Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue have been asked to clarify the ongoing situation.
