MOUNT AIRY, N.C. (WITN) – The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation is on the scene of a mass shooting in Mount Airy after the Surry County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance this afternoon shortly after 2 p.m.
Four people have been identified as having been shot. Two of those are confirmed dead.
The Surry County Sheriff’s Office and the SBI are on the scene collecting evidence and investigating.
