Pegasus Airlines launches direct flights from Istanbul to Ljubljana

Pegasus Airlines has expanded its European network with the launch of direct flights between Istanbul and Ljubljana, adding Slovenia as the airline’s 55th country.

The new route will commence on 26 January 2026, providing a direct link between Türkiye and Slovenia and strengthening air connectivity between the two countries. The service is designed to offer affordable and convenient travel options for both leisure and business travellers, while supporting tourism and trade links across the region.

A launch ceremony was held at Sabiha Gökçen International Airport to mark the introduction of the route. Attendees included Gorazd Rencelj, Ambassador of Slovenia to Türkiye, senior representatives from airport operator ISG, and members of Pegasus Airlines’ executive and commercial leadership teams.

Güliz Öztürk, chief executive officer of Pegasus Airlines, said the new service reflects the carrier’s continued growth strategy across Europe. “We are excited to launch new direct flights connecting Istanbul with Ljubljana as part of our ongoing expansion,” she said. “Ljubljana is a vibrant and increasingly popular destination, and this route will make travel between Türkiye and Slovenia more accessible than ever. Each new route expands freedom of movement for our passengers while contributing to tourism, trade and social connectivity.”

The Istanbul–Ljubljana route will operate three times weekly in both directions. Flights from Istanbul will depart Sabiha Gökçen Airport at 09:40 on Mondays and Saturdays and at 15:05 on Thursdays. Return flights from Ljubljana Airport will depart at 10:50 and 16:15 on the same days.

Tickets are available via the Pegasus Airlines website, mobile app and authorised sales channels, with fares starting from €49.99 / £49.99.

The launch further reinforces Pegasus Airlines’ growing footprint across Europe, while positioning Ljubljana as a more accessible gateway for travellers connecting through Istanbul to the airline’s wider international network.
