Danny Imray: Crystal Palace defender joins West Bromwich Albion on loan

West Bromwich Albion have signed Crystal Palace defender Danny Imray on loan for the remainder of the season.

The 22-year-old spent the first half of this term with Blackpool in League One, where he scored twice in 16 appearances.

Imray, who is yet to break into the first team at Palace, was with Bromley in League Two last season – the club’s first campaign in the English Football League (EFL).

He becomes Baggies head coach Eric Ramsay’s second signing since replacing Ryan Mason at The Hawthorns after the arrival of goalkeeper Max O’Leary.

“I want to come here and play games, but, most importantly, I want to play a part in helping this team move forward,” Imray told the club website, external.

“I’m going to do everything I can for the team, for the supporters and for the manager to get us up the table and back to where I feel like we belong.

“I’m a full-back, but I love to attack. That’s probably my main strength. I’ll give everything on the pitch. I’m powerful and I like to get forward.

“Obviously, defending is my job, but I do love to go the other way and I like to get the fans on the edge of their seats.”
