EXCLUSIVE: Rising actor Elizaveta Neretin (Mayor of Kingstown) has been tapped for a major recurring role on the third season of Taylor Sheridan‘s espionage thriller Lioness, starring and executive produced by Zoe Saldaña and Nicole Kidman.
In season 2, the CIA’s fight against terror moved closer to home. Joe (Saldaña), Kaitlyn (Kidman), and Byron (Michael Kelly) enlisted a new Lioness operative to infiltrate a previously unknown threat. With pressure mounting from all sides, Joe was forced to confront the profound personal sacrifices she made as the leader of the Lioness program.
Neretin will portray an international operative who crosses paths with Joe (Saldaña).
Season 3 cast also includes previously announced Ian Bohen as a new series regular.
In addition to Saldaña and Kidman, the second season starred Oscar winner Morgan Freeman, Michael Kelly, Laysla De Oliveira, Genesis Rodriguez, Dave Annable, Jill Wagner, LaMonica Garrett, James Jordan, Austin Hébert, Jonah Wharton, Thad Luckinbill and Hannah Love Lanier. Kidman received a 2024 Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her role.
Lioness Season 2 was executive produced by Sheridan, David C. Glasser, Saldaña, Kidman, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, David Hutkin, Jill Wagner, David Lemanowicz, Geyer Kosinski, Michael Friedman and Keith Cox.
The series is produced by Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios exclusively for Paramount+ and is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
Neretin was discovered by Sheridan during casting for Mayor of Kingstown in 2021, where she landed the role of Vera. She went on to attend Juilliard Drama, graduating in mid-2025. She was immediately cast again by Sheridan for Lioness. Her other television credits include guest-starring roles on The Flash and The 100, among others. Neretin is repped by Gersh and Pacific Artists Management.
