Full cast joining Rebecca Lucy Taylor in West End revival of Teeth ‘n’ Smiles confirmed

Rebecca Lucy Taylor, also known as Self Esteem, will star in a new revival of David Hare’s Teeth ‘n’ Smiles – and further casting has been revealed.
The rebel play will celebrate its 50th anniversary with a West End revival, directed by Daniel Raggett. It follows Maggie Frisby, once the roaring voice of 60s counterculture, and now broke and disillusioned with her band on the brink of breakup.
Teeth ‘N’ Smiles has music by Nick Bicât and lyrics by Tony Bicât, and will feature new additional music and lyrics by Taylor.
It will mark Taylor’s West End play debut when performances start at the Duke of York’s Theatre, with previews beginning on 13 March for a 12-week run.
Joining Taylor (AKA Self Esteem) as Maggie, are Michael Fox as Arthur, Phil Daniels as Sarrafian, Bill Caple as Nash, Michael Abubakar as Wilson, Samuel Jordan as Smegs, Jojo Macari as Peyote, Noah Weatherby as Inch, Joseph Evans as Randolph, Aysha Kala as Laura, Christopher Patrick Nolan as Snead and Roman Asde as Anson. Gregor Milne, Damien James, Levi Heaton, Guy Amos and Daniel Crespin complete the company.
Taylor was listed as a face to watch for 2026 in our new year’s round-up.
Set design is by Chloe Lamford, costume design by Alex Mullins, lighting design by Matt Daw, sound design by Ben and Max Ringham and music supervision by Liam Godwin. The casting director is Bryony Jarvis-Taylor and associate director is George Jibson.
