John Eustace responds to Derby County exit after transfer confirmed

The Rams this week granted another departure from the club ahead of the transfer window closing on Monday

Derby County’s Corey Blackett-Taylor (centre) has joined Bolton on loan.

John Eustace hopes Derby County winger Corey Blackett-Taylor thrives on loan at Bolton Wanderers and says he has a good club to showcase his talent.

Derby this week allowed the winger to move to Wanderers on a loan until the end of the season with the former Charlton man in line to make his debut this weekend.

In what has been an injury-hit 18 months, Blackett-Taylor has struggled to nail down a place in the first team having picked up a hamstring injury on the opening day of this season.

He returned in mid-October but has yet to hit top gear with Derby hoping that gametime will benefit him with Steven Schumacher’s side chasing promotion.

Derby have signed Burnley’s Jaydon Banel to fill the void left by his departure, but with 18 months remaining on his current deal, Eustace feels the move is a good opportunity for him.

“I hope he does very, very, well,” he said.

“He’s still got 18 months on his contract so when he comes back with games under his belt, hopefully he will be better for it.

“He can certainly come back into the squad next season. He’s going to a really good team that is coached very well by Steven.

“I am sure he’s going there with a point to prove and he wants to showcase himself. We want him to come back in the summer and make sure that he’s had a really good end to the season.”
