ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – An Amber Alert was issued Monday morning as St. Louis County police searched for a missing 5-year-old.
St. Louis County police said that Alesia Dawson was left in a running vehicle that was stolen around 8 a.m. in the 8900 block of New Hampshire Avenue in Affton.
Police said the vehicle was found, but Dawson remains missing. Dawson is described by police as a Black girl with four ponytails who was last seen wearing a pink “Flower Power” t-shirt and blue shorts.
Authorities have not provided a photo of Dawson.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol issued an Amber Alert for Dawson around 9:20 a.m.
Anyone with information should call 911.
