COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – As snow continues to come down in the Midlands, several roads around the area have begun to close due to hazardous conditions.
Below is a complete list.
INTERSTATES
- Interstate 26 East at mile marker 128 in Lexington County is closed
KERSHAW COUNTY
- Lugoff:
- The “flyover” bridge between the Highway 1 and Highway 601 interchange is completely iced over and is now blocked off.
LEXINGTON COUNTY
- Old Lexington at Wessinger Road
- Longs Pond Road at Nazereth Road
- Irmo:
- Kennerly Road is closed between Broad River and Firetower. According to the Irmo Fire District, six cars are in ditches, and 12 more are stuck on icy roads.
RICHLAND COUNTY
- Columbia:
- Pickens Street at Blossom and Greene Streets
- Broad River at Kennerly Road
- 300-400 block of Spears Creek Church Road
- Forest Acres
- Rockbridge from Trenholm to Goldbranch
- Brookfield and Eastshore to Rockbridge
- Covenant from Bethel Church to Dalloz
- Atascadero from Forest to Juarez
