Abdukodir Khusanov Ranks Second Among Fastest Players in Champions League
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Manchester City defender Abdukodir Khusanov has claimed second place in the ranking of the fastest players in the UEFA Champions League, according to Sofascore, reaching a top speed of 34.7 km/h.
The leaderboard was topped by Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé, who recorded a maximum speed of 34.9 km/h. Belgian club Club Brugge’s Carlos Borges secured third place with 34.3 km/h.
Khusanov’s Manchester City teammate, Erling Haaland, ranked eighth with a top speed of 34 km/h. The tournament’s “slowest” player was Newcastle United’s Anthony Gordon, clocked at 33.9–34 km/h.
According to Transfermarkt, as of January 31, Khusanov has appeared in 27 matches for Manchester City, scoring one goal. In the Champions League qualifying rounds, he played a total of 425 minutes.
