KIM Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton’s romance has come after over a decade of friendship – which saw them bonding over a shared love of fashion.
The Sun revealed today how Skims founder Kim had been dating the Formula 1 driver, with the pair enjoying a stay at Estelle Manor in the Cotswolds this weekend.

Kim and Lewis have known each other for over a decade, with the pair first seen together in 2014 with their respective partners – Kanye West and Nicole Scherzinger.
Alongside Kanye, Kim struck up a close rapport with Lewis and he was invited to visit them over Easter the following year.
Touch The Sky rapper Kanye, who married Kim in 2014, bonded with Lewis over music – with the racing driver a keen musician in his spare time.
In an interview in 2015, Kanye recalled having Lewis to their house where he played his music to the wider Kardashian family.

Kanye said: “Lewis Hamilton’s over at my house and we’re playing some music in my studio.
I went to see Kanye at his house and he goes, ‘You know, me and you are very much the same’.

“We’re having an Easter brunch and all of the family’s there, my wife’s family, my friends, everything. And everybody’s like, ‘What is this music?’
“And I’m like, ‘It’s Lewis Hamilton’s music’.
“They’re like, ‘Oh my God. It’s really good’.”
Lewis was later seen at Glastonbury supporting Kim when Kanye headlined the Pyramid stage.
It was reported at the time that he offered Kim and her mum Kris Jenner a ride over to the UK in his private jet.
A year after the show, Lewis opened up about his connection with Kanye.
Lewis told City AM: “I went to see Kanye at his house and he goes, ‘You know, me and you are very much the same’.

“He said, ‘I’m big in the music world but I’m trying to do what I love in fashion and people don’t like it.
“You’re big in your racing world but you love your music and people will probably struggle to accept that. You need to do what you love and not give a f*** about what anyone thinks’.”
Lewis added: “Ultimately we shouldn’t feel like we need to shrink ourselves for other people to feel comfortable.
“Kanye’s outspoken, to say the least. I love that. He’s electrifying in everything he does.
“I wish I could be that outspoken, I really do. But I’m signed to brands that have an idealistic image they wish to be connected with, so I need to be careful.”
Bond over fashion
Kanye and Kim went on to announce their split in 2021 and divorced the following year.
Lewis appears to have remained close to Kim – with the pair sharing a bond over fashion.
In the same year as her very public separation, Lewis and Kim were both handed gongs at the Wall Street Journal’s innovator awards.
Lewis was celebrated for his achievement in sport, while Kim was recognised for the Brand Innovator award for her shapewear and lingerie firm Skims, which is now valued at around £3.6billion.
He shared a photograph of himself and Kim backstage at the awards on Instagram and wrote: “It’s such an honour to be recognized amongst a group of such remarkable talent.
“How Kim Kardashian and Kim Jones have come together on Skims, the way Lila Nas X is transforming the music industry, and artist Maya Lin’s groundbreaking approach to her art.”

Two years later the pair were photographed together again, this time while supporting American singer Pharrell Williams as he shared his debut collection for Louis Vuitton at Paris Fashion Week.
In 2025, Lewis was also made a co-chair of the annual Met Gala – which Kim has previously said is her favourite fashion event of the year.
Kim made her debut at the event back in 2013 and has since made 12 appearances at the high profile event.
Speaking about his role in last year’s event, which had the theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style”
Lewis said: “I always try to be really intentional, especially at that event.”
He was brought on board by American Vogue’s Editor-In-Chief Anna Wintour.
Lewis added: “The theme was very close to my heart, it was something that I spoke to Anna [about] three years ago, so I was one of the first to be a part of starting talking to her about it.
I felt like I had to conform to something that I was uncomfortable with, and I know a lot of people are experiencing that.

“And then finding someone that I really felt could encapsulate what the theme was, our culture, and then I love details.
“That was a really special moment, for black people that night was massive, it was huge.
“I know my grandma and my grandad would have been incredibly proud, and my ancestors.”
Kim is now a staple at the Met Gala – and previously wore Marilyn Monroe’s iconic 1962 Golden Globes dress.
She has also been dressed for the event by designers including Givenchy and Schiaparelli.
Lewis has also spoken openly about his love of fashion and said he is inspired to push boundaries.
Speaking to GQ, Lewis said: “In terms of what I wear and how I show up, that’s taken a long time.
“When I first turned up in an outfit, one of the bosses, I remember him looking me up and down and judging what I was wearing – and feeling really small.
“I felt like I had to conform to something that I was uncomfortable with, and I know a lot of people are experiencing that.
“So hopefully in what I do, its letting people know to just be bold and be brave and be you.
“And if being you doesn’t fit in that space, it’s not for you. It’s an easier thing to say, but I don’t think there’s any job I would do if I didn’t feel like I fit in, I would just know it’s not for me.”
