Iowa women’s basketball fans frustrated by USC loss, announcing team

After No. 8 Iowa women’s basketball (18-3, 9-1 Big Ten) suffered its first Big Ten loss, an ugly 81-69 defeat to USC (12-9, 4-6 Big Ten), at the Galen Center in Los Angeles, California, many Hawkeye fans voiced their displeasure with the team’s poor play, lack of defensive effort and even Peacock’s announce crew consisting of play-by-play voice Cindy Brunson and color analyst Kim Adams.

Iowa freshman guard Journey Houston finished with a team-leading and career-high 16 points on 7-for-12 shooting. She added eight rebounds and two assists in 26 minutes off the bench.

However, the Hawkeyes’ poor performance in the first quarter and the latter portions of the third along with their inability to slow the Trojans’ offense led to their undoing.
