Giants to hire Matt Nagy as offensive coordinator: Source

The New York Giants are hiring Matt Nagy as the team’s new offensive coordinator, according to a league source.
Nagy spent the past three seasons as the Chiefs’ offensive coordinator, his second stint as OC under Andy Reid in Kansas City. He also was the Chicago Bears’ head coach for four seasons (2018-21), winning NFL Coach of the Year in 2018. Nagy’s arrival rounds out the Giants’ coordinator positions, with Dennard Wilson coming on as their defensive coordinator and Chris Horton as assistant head coach/special teams coordinator. Wilson and Horton both worked under John Harbaugh in Baltimore; Nagy has never worked on a coaching staff with the Giants’ new head coach.
All of Harbaugh’s hires will be critical, but perhaps none so more than his offensive coordinator. Nagy will be tasked with helping along quarterback Jaxson Dart, who just finished an impressive rookie season.
With Dart at quarterback, the Giants’ offense has at least one major question mark answered. The roster includes young talent in wide receiver Malik Nabers and running back Cam Skattebo, but both are recovering from season-ending injuries. GM Joe Schoen said he expects Skattebo, who suffered a gruesome ankle injury, to be ready for the start of the offseason program April 6, but a return for Nabers, who suffered a torn ACL and meniscus in Week 4, is further out. Another big offensive question mark will be the offensive line, as two starters (RT Jermaine Eluemunor and RG Greg Van Roten) are set to hit free agency.
