Another shot of winter prompts W.Va. school closures, delays for Wednesday

WEST VIRGINIA (WCHS) — Another shot of winter weather has prompted closures and delays for several West Virginia School systems.
According to the West Virginia Department of Education, the following counties will be closed on Wednesday, Feb. 4 (as of 10 p.m. Tuesday):
- Braxton
- Cabell
- Calhoun
- Clay
- Gilmer
- Hancock
- Jackson
- Lincoln
- Mason
- Nicholas
- Putnam
- Randolph
- Roane
- Wayne
- Webster
- Wirt
The BOE announced the following counties will operate on delays for Wednesday (as of 10 p.m. Tuesday):
- Barbour
- Fayette
- Greenbrier
- Logan
- McDowell
- Mercer
- Monroe
- Pendleton
- Pocahontas
- Raleigh
- Summers
- Tucker
- Wyoming
Kanawha County will utilize a non-traditional learning day.
