Wondering how to keep up with the Six Nations and/or the Winter Olympics while in Spain? Here’s what you need to know about watching either of these two sporting events on Spanish television.

February sees two major global sports events arrive on television screens in Spain: the rugby 2026 Six Nations and 2026 Winter Olympics.

The Rugby Six Nations will see powerhouses from the northern hemisphere square off, including France, England, Italy, Scotland, Wales and England.

England and France are the bookies’ favourite, though Ireland could be contenders.

In the Winter Olympics Spain will see 20 athletes compete, including in snowboarding, figure skating and alpine skiing, among other events.

The Spanish team isn’t expected to dominate the medal table, but there are several athletes, such as Oriol Cardona in the skiing or Queralt Castellet in snowboarding, in with a chance of winning a medal.

Here’s how to watch both events on TV in Spain.

Six Nations

Six Nations coverage is available on Spanish TV, though not free to air. The tournament runs from February 5th until March 14th.

Spain doesn’t compete in the Six Nations, but Movistar Plus will still broadcast the entire tournament live with Spanish commentary.

You may be able to catch some games if you’re already a Movistar client, but if you want to enjoy full coverage it costs €9.99 to have access to the entire tournament.

Some matches will be broadcast on #Vamos, while others will be on Movistar Deportes.

The 2026 Milan–Cortina Winter Olympics are also fast approaching. Italy will host the games from February 6th-22nd, 2026, with more than 3,500 athletes competing in 16 disciplines.

There are several ways to keep up with the action.

The Games will be broadcast free-to-air in Spain on RTVE, which will provide coverage on Teledeporte and RTVE Play, including events, finals, and coverage of Spanish athletes.

The Games will also be available to watch in full on MAX, thanks to the official Eurosport broadcast, which is also available on other platforms and will offer all events with its own production.

AS will also provide extensive online coverage of everything happening at the Winter Games.
