Pacers reportedly acquiring Ivica Zubac from Clippers

The Los Angeles Clippers are trading Ivica Zubac and Kobe Brown to the Pacers for Canadian Bennedict Mathurin, Isaiah Jackson, two first-round picks and a second-round pick, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported on Thursday.
Zubac is averaging 14.4 points, 11 rebounds and 2.2 assists through 43 games this season.
Zubac fills the need for a centre on the Pacers, after Myles Turner left in free agency for the Milwaukee Bucks in the off-season.
The seven-footer was named to the All-Defensive second team in 2025.
The Pacers, who are out of contention this season, set themselves up for next season when star Tyrese Haliburton should return from a torn Achilles suffered in the 2025 NBA Finals. Indiana will roll out a big three of Haliburton, Zubac and Pascal Siakam in 2026-27.
Mathurin gets himself a change of scenery in L.A., where he gets to pair up with Kawhi Leonard and recently acquired Darius Garland.
The 23-year-old is averaging 17.8 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 28 games this season.
The Clippers get a 2026 first-rounder from the Pacers that is protected 1-4 and 10-30, as well as an unprotected first-rounder in 2029, per Charania.
