Here’s the new-look Lakers roster after the 2026 NBA trade deadline

It addressed a weakness for the Lakers in their lackluster 3-point shooting and saved them a bit of money for the buyout market but cost them their last second round pick in the process. It was as much of an investment as the Lakers were willing to make in this team, opting not to trade away the one first round pick available in order to save that for a bigger deal this summer, a decision perhaps made easier with Giannis Antetokounmpo’s trade saga set to carry into the offseason.
The offseason is some time away, though, and the Lakers have another half of the season and a playoff push first.
