Franklin Graham ripped for Super Bowl LX post as Kid Rock’s song about underage girls trends: “You are a powerless preacher’

Famed evangelist Franklin Graham took to social media Thursday to praise Turning Point USA’s upcoming Super Bowl LX “All-American Halftime Show” as the headliner — Kid Rock — was trending on social media for a song about loving underage girls.
It did not go well for him.
“Like most Americans, I’ve enjoyed watching the Super Bowl,” Graham wrote. “But the halftime shows began pushing moral boundaries and have become more sexualized. This year, they’re having Bad Bunny perform. The @NFL leadership is pushing this sexualized agenda. Thank you, @TPUSA and @MrsErikaKirk for providing an alternative — ‘The All-American Halftime Show’ with the agenda of celebrating family, faith, and freedom!”
It comes on the heels of the show receiving backlash for those same claims due to Rock’s 2001 song “Cool, Daddy Cool.”
The issue with the song?
The lyrics are something else, but the real problem comes in Verse 3.
“Young ladies, young ladies, I like ‘em underage,” Rock sings on the track. “See some say that’s statutory.”
His sidekick at the time, the late Joe-C then chimes in, “But I say it’s mandatory.”
The lyrics were never a good thing, but it is remarkably poor timing for Rock and TPUSA with the recent release of the Epstein files. And folks lit Graham up for his post overlooking the issue. Many shared the lyrics in Graham’s replies, and others just went right at Graham.
“@Franklin_Graham you’re bastardizing Jesus,” Reh Harvey replied. “Go look up Kid Rock lyrics then ask yourself if those lyrics are sexualized or not.”
“Franklin … have you heard any of @KidRock’s music???” Dr. Gavin Adams replied. “Have you watched his ‘morals?’”
“Are you kidding me, Frank?” another wrote. “Kid Rock is a filthy singer who promotes fornication and addiction. You are a powerless preacher.”
“Kid Rock is FAR MORE ‘sexualized’ and indecent than Bad Bunny ever thought of being,” Allen Edmons responded.
“Yes, because nothing screams ‘Christian values’ like a headlining artist with a song called ‘Balls in Your Mouth,” another replied. “Didn’t really think this one through, did you?”
Kid Rock, did in fact, have a song called “Balls in Your Mouth” on his 1993 album “The Polyfuze Method.”
There were plenty more comments like that and you can see them here.
Rock’s history with “Cool, Daddy Cool” began to trend after JD Vance shared a TPUSA post on X about the show and wrote, “Fantastic lineup for the TPUSA halftime show, including the great Bob Ritchie AKA KID ROCK.”
The lineup for the show — Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice and Gabby Barrett join Rock on the bill — had been widely trolled outside of the MAGA world before folks remember the controversial song.
Parker Molloy reshared Vance’s post and shared the lyrics to X and wrote, “Maybe he’ll play this one!”
Folks were quick to chime in.
“I have to say this, besides the pedophile segment these lyrics are just straight up (expletive) lmao,” one person replied.
“Wow @TPUSA sure know how to put together a faith and family friendly lineup,” another wrote.
You can listen to the song in the video below:
Outside of Molloy’s comments plenty of folks shared the lyrics to the song while taking shots at the timing and fit.
“Very on brand decision to go with Kid Rock,” Tom Levy wrote on X. “Hoping he plays ‘Cool Daddy, Cool.’”
“Do you think Kid Rock is going to perform his classic song ‘Cool, Daddy Cool’?” Damin Toell replied to Vance. “Maybe they can get Ted Nugent to come out and do a molestation medley.”
Graham has yet to respond to the criticism of his post.
