The Masked Singer viewers are convinced they’ve cracked Can of Worms’ true identity after the character narrowly avoided elimination in tonight’s episode.

The seventh series of the popular ITV singing contest is well underway, with participants once again challenged to identify the famous faces concealed beneath elaborate costumes.

Panellists Maya Jama, Jonathan Ross, Mo Gilligan, and Davina McCall were back for Saturday’s instalment (January 31), with presenter Joel Dommett hosting proceedings.

Last week witnessed the dramatic double reveal of singer Kate Nash and Strictly Come Dancing judge Anton Du Beke, who were exposed as Monkey Business and Arctic Fox respectively.

However, audiences were still left to determine the remaining performers: Can of Worms, Conkers, Moth, Red Panda, Sloth, Toastie, and newcomer Mole Dommett, reports the Mirror.

The Mole was disclosed to be X Factor star Olly Murs within minutes of the programme starting, whilst Red Panda was subsequently revealed as comedy icon Harry Hill.

At the programme’s conclusion, audiences cast their votes for their preferred acts with the top five progressing to next week’s semi-final. Toastie, Conkers, Sloth, Moth and Can of Worms all secured their places in the competition.

Although Can of Worms survived tonight’s axe, fans are certain they’ve already identified the person beneath the disguise.

Posting on X, one speculated: “I definitely think Can of Worms is one of the JLS guys. I’m going with JB.”

Another viewer agreed: “I still think JB is Can of Worms, he likes gardening and JLS has a song called One Shot #maskedsinger #maskedsingeruk.”

A third chimed in: “Can of Worms.. does sound like Marvin from JLS #MaskedSinger.”

Meanwhile, another fan questioned: “Marvin Humes is that you hiding in the Can of Worms??? #maskedsinger #maskedsingeruk.”

Both Marvin Humes and JB Gill have been suggested by the Masked Singer judges, with viewers sharing the same suspicions.

The pair shot to stardom as members of the British pop boyband, alongside fellow singers Aston Merrygold and Oritsé Williams. The band’s number one hits include Everybody in Love and Beat Again.
