UFC Fight Night 266 video: Dustin Jacoby nets TKO, makes bold request

Dustin Jacoby gutted out the grappling pressure of Julius Walker at UFC Fight Night 266 and closed the show with a barrage of strikes.

After a competitive first round of light heavyweight action at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas, Jacoby (22-9-1 MMA, 10-6-1 UFC) began to land leather on the chin of Walker (7-2 MMA, 1-2 UFC) in the second frame. He eventually stunned his opponent to the ground, then spent close to a minute with follow up attacked before referee Dan Miragliotta, who was officiating his 500th UFC bout, stopped it for the TKO at the 1:42 mark of Round 2.

Jacoby, 37, was originally supposed to fight Jimmy Crute at UFC 325 this past weekend in Australia. The fight was canceled and he went to Sydney anyways to corner a teammate before returning back to the U.S. and beating new opponent Walker.

Now on a three-fight knockout streak at 205 pounds, Jacoby is looking for bigger things going forward – including a round of golf with President Trump and a spot on the White House card.

“It feel great,” Jacoby said in his post-fight interview with Paul Felder. “I’ve traveled the world for 16 years representing this country. I would live to fight at the White House in June.”
