Is Saturday Night Live New Tonight, February 7, 2026? About This Month’s Schedule

It’s Legendary February on NBC and Peacock, and Saturday Night Live helped usher in a month of exciting live programming with a standout Season 51 episode.
How to Watch
Watch Saturday Night Live Saturdays at 11:30/10:30c on NBC and next day on Peacock.
On January 31, SNL celebrated its 1000th episode with Host Alexander Skarsgård and Musical Guest Cardi B. Skarsgård slayed his hosting debut like he’d done it a thousand times, giving us an episode that we won’t soon be forgetting. There were cameos from his father, Stellan Skarsgård, best friend Jack McBrayer, and even Pete Davidson. Skarsgård and cast member Jane Wickline helped us think about luge in a whole new way in the “Winter Olympics Promo” sketch above.
It was the perfect way to say goodbye to January and kick off the most action-packed sports month of the year.
The 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan Cortina saw its Opening Ceremony on NBC and Peacock, and events air every day through February 22. NBC and Peacock are also broadcasting Super Bowl LX, in which the Seattle Seahawks play the New England Patriots. Next weekend, from February 13 to 15, NBC and Peacock will also broadcast All-Star Weekend, leading into the 2026 NBA All-Star game on February 15.

Is SNL new tonight, February 7, 2026?
No. Saturday Night Live isn’t airing tonight at all, for an important reason: It’s the Winter Olympics!

Why is SNL not on tonight, February 7?
NBC’s Olympics late night schedule features highlights program Olympic Late Night during the Games’ run from February 6 to February 22, with 116 sporting events to watch and analyze.
Today is also the night before Super Bowl LX, which is also airing on NBC. Bad Bunny, who hosted the premiere of SNL Season 51, headlines the Halftime Show. We’d recommend revisiting one of his many appearances if you have a hankering for comedy. His most recent episode aired October 4, 2025, and he also appeared as Musical Guest on the Season 50 finale, becoming the first person on SNL to headline two successive episodes.

Who is the next SNL Host and Musical Guest?
When SNL returns on February 28, it will welcome Connor Storrie as Host, alongside Musical Guest Mumford & Sons. Mumford & Sons will be performing for the fourth time, but Storrie is brand new to SNL and to fame. He stars as a Russian hockey player in the Canadian romance Heated Rivalry, which only began airing in November 2025.
SNL has already parodied Heated Rivalry with “Heated Wizardry,” a reimagining of Harry Potter in which Harry (January 17 Host Finn Wolfhard) and Ron (Ben Marshall) are secretly in love, and Hagrid is Jason Momoa.
