Lobos Host Boise State Saturday Night

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M – The New Mexico men’s basketball team concludes a two-game homestand Saturday night when it hosts Boise State at The Pit in a matchup of two of the hottest teams in the Mountain West. The Lobos have won eight of their last 10 games, while the Broncos have won five of their last six. Game time is 8:00 p.m. and the game will be televised on CBS Sports Network and air on Lobo Radio Network.

Tickets for Saturday’s game are on sale now at GoLobos.com/tickets. Gates will open at 6:30 p.m. The first 2,000 fans to arrive at the main entrance will receive a roller banner.  

The Lobos (18-5, 9-3) look to rebound from Wednesday’s loss to conference-leader Utah State that snapped UNM’s 23-game home win streak. Jake Hall leads the Mountain West with 70 3-pointers, a total that also leads all freshmen in the nation.      

Boise State (14-9, 6-6 MW) has bounced back from a 1-5 start to Mountain West play to win five of six to even its conference record. The Broncos are led by Drew Fielder, who is averaging 13.3 points per game    

The all-time series is tied 15-15, with the Lobos holding a 9-4 edge at The Pit. The Broncos won the first meeting this season, 62-53, in Boise on Dec. 30.

The Lobos will travel next week to Phoenix for their first conference road trip to Grand Canyon on Wednesday. Game time is 8:00 pm and the game will air on FS1.
