How many people can Levi’s Stadium hold for the 2026 Super Bowl?

Super Bowl LX kicks off Sunday between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks in Levi’s Stadium. The home of the San Francisco 49ers will play host for the second time in its almost 12-year history, holding the NFL’s championship game for the first time since Super Bowl 50.
Levi’s Stadium typically seats 68,500 people but can expand to over 75,000 for major events, including the Super Bowl. When the Carolina Panthers faced the Denver Broncos a decade ago, the stadium recorded an official attendance of 71,088.
Super Bowl LX will mark the first to be played in a fully outdoor stadium since Super Bowl LV in Tampa Bay, Florida. Super Bowl LVII in Glendale, Arizona, was played outdoors, though State Farm Stadium has a retractable roof. The roof was open during the game.
The home of the 49ers is set for a major year of events beyond Sunday’s big game. Levi’s Stadium will host multiple 2026 World Cup games, ranging from June 13 through July 1. In total, between group games and a Round of 32 affair, the stadium will host six games.
Levi’s Stadium’s open-air facility limits it from hosting major indoor events like the NCAA Men’s Final Four, but it still has an impressive pedigree of displaying the big stage. The 2019 College Football National Championship between Dabo Swinney’s Clemson squad and Nick Saban’s Alabama. Wrestlemania 31 in 2015 took center stage at the venue, as did the NHL’s Stadium Series.
Huge music artists from Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour to The Rolling Stones have rocked the house in the past. No show garnered more fans than Ed Sheeran’s 2023 concert as part of his Mathematics Tour, where nearly 80,000 people attended.
The get-in price for Super Bowl LX currently ranges between $4,500-$5,000, though prices usually drop throughout the week. Super Bowl LX will be nationally televised by NBC and can be streamed on Peacock, along with other streaming services like YouTube TV, Fubo and Hulu + Live Sports. Kickoff will be at 6:30 p.m. ET.
