Love Island fans have erupted in fury as a divisive bombshell has made his way into the villa.

The All Stars series has already served up its fair share of explosive moments, but viewers are bracing themselves for even more chaos following Harrison Solomon’s arrival.

Harrison previously appeared on series 12 of the ITV2 reality romance show, where his behaviour sparked widespread condemnation.

During his original stint, he was partnered with eventual champion Toni Laites whilst simultaneously pursuing Helena Ford, before departing the programme with Lauren Wood amid a storm of tears and what became the show’s most infamous love triangle.

Harrison’s decision to bring Lauren back from Casa Amor left Toni utterly heartbroken, before he began wavering between both women – behaviour that prompted Women’s Aid to issue an official statement, reports OK!.

After Lauren’s elimination from the villa, Harrison ultimately decided to exit alongside her, though their romance crumbled soon after returning to civilian life.

Fans have expressed their outrage at his comeback, especially given the charity’s intervention and the widespread criticism his conduct attracted at the time.

Following tonight’s entrance (Monday 9 February), one dismayed viewer posted: “Ugh, hate Harrison. Why did they bring him back after what he did.”

Another cringed: “Why the hell did they bring back Harrison,” whilst a fellow watcher echoed: “Harrison coming back is DEFINITELY NOT what the fans want to see.”

“Harrison can’t have changed that much in 7 months,” one person remarked, with another adding: “Casting team was really desperate if they had to bring back Women’s Aid statement Harrison.”

One viewer expressed their disbelief, stating: “Harrison back on television this soon after women’s aid had to release a statement about him/his behaviour is CRAZY.”

Another chimed in with: “Ima be real Harrison is back on #LoveIsland way too soon. He can’t even say he’s matured because he was only on the show 6 months ago ain’t no way you changed that fast…”

A third added: “Harrison being back is crazy work,” while another questioned: “Why on gods green earth is Harrison Solomon IN MY VILLA? !”

One disgruntled fan wrote: “After all of the Ofcom complaints, ITV still bring Harrison’s unserious a** back?”

Another viewer didn’t hold back, commenting: “I can’t believe these producers brought Harrison back, he is disgusting, honestly the worst islander of all time.”

“Harrison mate you can just turn right back around,” echoed another.

In a press pack released prior to his comeback, Harrison addressed his past actions, admitting: “I feel like I didn’t handle certain situations in there very well and I feel like, even though it’s only been seven or eight months since the show, I’ve done a lot of growing up and self reflection.”

He continued: “I’ve looked back at the show and I was a bit embarrassed by my actions sometimes. I’m actually glad that it did happen on national television. I feel like it gives you a chance to properly look at yourself and see where you went wrong.”

Harrison concluded: “I just feel like I’m a very different man than I was the first time I entered the Villa. I want to do it differently this time. It was a little bit of a wake up moment for sure.”

He continued to express that he would willingly exit again if he found the right girl, stating: “I don’t regret leaving. I was following my heart and that’s all I can do. If I found it was right and I genuinely liked the girl, I’d have no issues with leaving for sure. As long as I come out with a girlfriend, that’s the important thing.”

He further added: “Whenever anyone asks about Love Island I always say with a massive smile on my face that it was definitely the best summer of my life. I’m single, I love the experience. I love the challenges, getting to know people I wouldn’t normally on the outside. I think I’d be silly to turn down the opportunity again.”

Love Island All Stars airs weeknights at 9pm on ITV2.
