WWE pays tribute to long-time employee Jim Shank after he passes away

The February 9th 2026 edition of WWE RAW ended with a graphic in memory of long-time employee Jim Shank. It was reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com that Shank passed away on Friday after a battle with colorectal cancer.

Shank had been with the company since November 1999, serving most recently as Technical Operations Manager and working as the operator for WWE’s remote-controlled and robotic cameras.

Johnson noted that Shank was beloved by colleagues throughout the company. Last year, WWE employees and friends raised over $200,000 through a GoFundMe campaign to help him receive new therapy, with former WWE owner Vince McMahon contributing more than $122,000. Shank had celebrated his 60th birthday just last month.
