Get to know Raiders Head Coach Klint Kubiak

Football family
Coaching is seemingly in Kubiak’s DNA, considering his father is a Super Bowl winning head coach.
Klint’s father, Gary Kubiak, was an NFL head coach for 10 seasons for the Houston Texans and Denver Broncos. While in Houston, the elder Kubiak won back-to-back AFC South titles in 2011 and 2012 before ultimately winning Super Bowl 50 with the Broncos in the 2015 season.
Gary Kubiak has developed several NFL head coaches in his career including Kyle Shanahan, Matt LaFleur, Robert Saleh, Vance Joseph and Mike McDaniel. His son Klint is now the next assistant of his to become a head coach, as he began his NFL career on his father’s Broncos staff in 2016 as an offensive assistant. The two were also on the same staff at the Minnesota Vikings from 2019-2020 before Gary retired.
With the Raiders’ hire, Gary and Klint Kubiak become the 10th father-son head coach duo in NFL history. They’re also now the first father-son coaches in NFL history to win a Super Bowl.
Klint’s brother, Klay Kubiak, is currently the offensive coordinator for the San Francisco 49ers and brother Klein Kubiak serves as a national scout for the Dallas Cowboys.
