Popular right-wing podcaster claims TPUSA ‘scammed’ Super Bowl LX halftime numbers

Popular right-wing podcaster Candace Owens has had an ongoing feud with Turning Point USA since Charlie Kirk’s assassination, and she apparently is not interested in turning down the temperature.

We know that because she went after TPUSA’s All-American Halftime Show that it counterprogrammed against the NFL for Super Bowl LX. TPUSA claimed it had 5 million people watching on YouTube.

While writing about her disdain for the NFL’s show with Bad Bunny on Sunday night, she added “on the other hand we have an organization that scammed its views by paying platform advertisers, followed by influencers to pretend they broke records. The left vs. right grift is actually boring now. What exactly are we doing America?”

She also responded to another post that suggested that Turning Point’s numbers were inflated.

“The one thing you can’t fake on YouTube is comments,” the post on X read. “And if you had 5 million live views, you would expect the view count to be something like 15 million as soon as it finishes — now. After processing maybe 60 million. Dear oh Dear.”

That post featured a screenshot from the broadcast and highlighted that it had just 157 comments.

“The problem with people who have a lot of money is they tend to have no idea how stuff actually works,” Owens wrote on X. “No this is not possible if you truly had 5.2 million live viewers. Sorry American, everything is still fake and gay until further notice.”

She then claimed that TPUSA would “spend an offensive amount over night to bring their viewership up while we sleep.”

While the TPUSA audience was not close to the record 135 million that viewed Bad Bunny, per CBS, it was still a solid showing audience wise and there is currently no proof that its numbers were inflated.
