Chloe Kim anxious about Olympics, but has ‘matcha and good vibes’

Chloe Kim has her eyes set on making more snowboarding history at the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics.
The U.S. snowboarder, who first captivated the Winter Olympics stage in 2018 at the PyeongChang Winter Games, is looking to defend her back-to-back Olympic gold medals in the event, all while dealing with a shoulder injury that kept her off her snowboard until just before arriving at the Winter Olympics.
The first step to that feat for the three-time Olympian begins on Wednesday, Feb. 11 with qualifying runs for the women’s halfpipe at the Livigno Snow Park in Livigno, Italy.

It’s an eventual a piece of history that she’ll also look to do in front of family and friends, including her boyfriend, two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett.

Who is Chloe Kim’s boyfriend?
The two-time Olympic gold medalist is currently dating Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett.
Garrett, who was recently named the NFL’s Defensive Player of the Year, confirmed to People Magazine while attending Super Bowl 60 last week that he’d be in Italy to watch Kim compete in the women’s halfpipe, her signature event.
“I finish up here Sunday, get back for about 12 hours, and then I hit the road and go to see her,” Garrett told People Magazine on Friday, Feb. 6 at the Super Bowl.

How long have Chloe Kim, Myles Garrett been dating?
As noted by People Magazine, Kim and Garret were first linked in May 2025 when they attended the Crunchyroll Anime Awards together in Japan. They then confirmed their relationship in November 2025, when Kim attended the Cleveland Browns’ road game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
“We’re both just so supportive of one another,” Garrett said of their relationship. “She’s always texting, she’s always calling to see how I’m doing during the year and I’m doing the same right now, checking on her, seeing how she’s feeling, emotionally and physically.”
In an interview with USA TODAY Sports back in December, Kim said that she had “no idea” who Garrett was before they met and later began dating.
“I grew up in a very Korean household, so we didn’t really watch American sports, or sports in general. It was whatever my dad was into. I guess my dad did watch football when he first came to America, but when I came around, it was a lot of, like, golf, tennis, things of that sort. So it’s actually funny that we’re in this position right now, because I had no idea who he was. Like, zero idea,” Kim said.
“I actually don’t know many, many athletes. Like I know Tom Brady and LeBron James. That’s my extent, that’s all I know. But now I’m all about it. But honestly, Myles is such an incredible athlete. I’m constantly inspired and in awe of him and how hard he works and how incredibly kind he is. He genuinely is one of the kindest people I think I’ve ever met. I’m really lucky to be part of his life and lucky that he’s part of mine.”
