Victim claims she ‘set clear boundaries’ with BYU’s Parker Kingston ahead of meet-up

ST. GEORGE, Utah (KUTV) — The victim in rape allegations against a BYU football player reportedly “set clear boundaries” before the two met up in February 2025, according to recently unsealed documents.
Parker Kingston, a 21-year-old BYU wide receiver, was charged in Washington County with one count of first-degree felony rape earlier this week. The charges come after an investigation that started in February 2025.
According to court documents, the 20-year-old victim first reported the sexual assault about four days after the two met in February 2025. In June of the same year, she spoke with a forensic investigator.
The alleged victim said she had been talking with Kingston online, where she reported setting clear boundaries and told him multiple times before their meet-up that she did not want to have sex.
On Feb. 23, Kingston arrived at the victim’s home, where the two watched a movie and “began to engage in some sexual activity,” which did not include sex.
The victim told investigators that as Kingston began falling asleep, she went to get ready for bed. When she returned 15 minutes later, Kingston attempted to initiate sexual activity again.
According to court documents, the alleged victim told Kingston to stop several times and attempted to push him off her.
Kingston later claimed all sexual activity was consensual, according to investigators. Detectives later added, “based on communications obtained from Kingston’s cell phone after the incident, it can be inferred that he went to her apartment with the intention of having sexual intercourse.”
Kingston was taken into custody earlier this week and is being held in the Washington County Jail without bail. He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
In response to the allegations, BYU said it takes any allegation “very seriously” and will continue to cooperate with law enforcement. The university refused to comment further, citing federal and university privacy laws and practices for students.
