Eyebrows were raised when the 2026 Ruffles NBA All-Star Celebrity Game rosters were unveiled earlier this month.
The Celebrity Game rosters always contain an assortment of interesting players — sometimes, they’ve actually played NBA basketball. For example, sandwiched in between actor Keegan-Michael Key and Detroit Lions receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown this year is former New York Knicks cult hero Jeremy Lin.
But included in a list of figures that include ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania and legendary soccer defender Cafu is a person you can’t miss: Tacko Fall, one of the tallest players in NBA history, now plying his trade with the Ningbo Rockets of the Chinese Basketball Association.
How tall is Tacko Fall?
At 7-foot-6, Fall is the same height as Shawn Bradley and Basketball Hall of Fame inductee Yao Ming.
But he is not quite the tallest player in NBA history.
Fall, who played parts of three seasons with the Boston Celtics and the Cleveland Cavaliers, is the third-tallest player ever to suit up for an NBA game. He is behind only the 7-foot-7 duo of Gheorghe Muresan and Manute Bol.
One thing is for sure, though. When Fall takes to the Kia Forum court on Friday, he will be the tallest player out there by quite a margin.
