‘Love is Blind’ Season 10’s engaged couples, revealed

Spoiler alert! We are discussing details from Episodes 1-6 of Netflix’s “Love is Blind” Season 10 (now streaming).

“Love is Blind” Season 10 is boasting a record-breaking number of couples leaving the pods – but is this a case of quantity over quality?

When the Netflix show dropped its first six installments on Feb. 11, so many cast members’ storylines were crammed into the hourlong episodes that one of the couples who were engaged had their pod love story mostly shown as a quick montage of conversations before they got engagement through a wall.

In all, seven women were shown leaving for their post-pods tropical vacation with engagement rings on their fingers this season. As the couples navigate sexual compatibility, family planning expectations and lifestyle differences, some are bound to call it quits over the course of the season and won’t make it to the altar.

As any in-the-know “LIB” watcher knows, however, the production team typically only follows a fraction of all the couples that get engaged in the pods. Not everyone who found romance from behind a wall gets a storyline each season.

Here are the engaged men and women who were featured on Season 10.

Emma Betsinger and Mike Gibney

After navigating an uncomfortable conversation with Steven and finding out that things would not work out with Connor as he pursued Bri, Emma gave Mike a real shot. They left the issue of her uncertainty over whether she wants to have biological children on the back burner to get engaged.

Christine Hamilton and Vic St. John

Vic St. John, who is putting his PhD in criminal justice to work as an assistant professor at Ohio State University, and speech-language pathologist Christine Hamilton are getting the golden couple edit. They connected over various traumas and their Christian faith and were the first couple we witnessed getting engaged on Season 10.

Bri McNees and Connor Spies

From day one, Bri says, she knew Connor was “my guy.” The chatty “Breezy” ended things with Chris, who said the feeling was mutual, and won over Connor’s heart in the pods.

Their main obstacle so far has been her discomfort with the hanging-with-our-exes dynamic during the Cabo San Lucas trip.

Jessica Barrett and Chris Fusco

After Bri initiated their breakup, Chris went forward with his connection with Jessica, an infectious diseases physician who opened up about her hospital job being a major factor in her divorce. One of their strengths is that they appear to be aligned in not wanting children.

Amber Morrison and Jordan Faeth

Jordan came into the so-called “experiment” (read: reality TV show) adamant that he would not date someone who has children. So, of course, he ended up (happily, it seems!) with a woman who has a seven-year-old daughter, Emma. Amber, a nurse practitioner, was won over in part by the cookies Jordan made for her in the men’s quarters – and it seems their main obstacle is moving in together in a way that would not disrupt her daughter’s life.

Brittany Wicker and Devonta Anderson

Brittany was so prepared to leave “Love is Blind” engaged that she had a wedding dress at the ready.

Though Devonta was physically “not someone I would’ve done for on the outside” – and he admitted he had never dated a woman of color – they left the pods engaged. But they struggled with an issue that besets many a “LIB” couple, as Brittany took issue with his lack of outward intimacy and romance once they were in Cabo.

Ashley Carpenter and Alex Henderson

If Sabrina Carpenter’s “Bed Chem” playing over Alex H. and Ashley’s flirty first meeting is any indication of how producers are portraying their relationship, the two are not mad at all about the match they made while dating “sight unseen.”

But there was a record scratch when the former Division 1 soccer player opened up to Brittany in Cabo about Ashley not being his usual type (and, in fact, Brittany looks more like women he usually dates). It remains to be seen if this couple will overcome their attraction and intimacy obstacles.
