York tops Poland 58-51 in 3-6 matchup, advance after late free throws

York and Poland traded big shots and late-game drama in their 3/6 matchup earlier today, but it was Poland that closed it out at the free-throw line to move on.
York jumped out quickly in the first quarter as Carlotte Grenier buried a 3-pointer. Phoebe Paradis followed with another 3 to put the Knights up seven.
Poland answered to get back into it behind Maddie Fitzgerald, who hit a 3-pointer from behind the arc. Nya Avery added a strong drive that went off the window for two points.
In the final minute, Poland made it a two-point game before Paradis hit a runner to tie it. The Wildcats then hit their free throws down the stretch and advanced with a 58-51 win.
