Team USA take on Denmark in their second men’s ice hockey preliminary round match at the Winter Olympics Milano Cortina 2026 on Saturday (14 February).

The U.S. got their campaign off to a strong start on Thursday with a 5-1 victory over Latvia, thanks to a brace from Brock Nelson, as well as goals from Brady Tkachuk, Tage Thompson and captain Auston Matthews.

Denmark, meanwhile, lost their Group C opener 3-1 against Germany, with Seattle Kraken rookie Oscar Fisker Mølgaard scoring their only goal.

Team USA are big favourites to win the match at the Milano Santagiulia Ice Hockey Arena, as they look to go on and claim their first men’s ice hockey gold medal since their “Miracle on Ice” triumph at Lake Placid 1980,
