Angelo Flannery (Patrick Dempsey) really thought he had nailed his double life as a fearsome hitman in New York City and loving suburban father in Fox’s latest thriller series “Memory of a Killer.”
However, when Flannery’s memory begins to fail him due to early-onset Alzheimer’s, everything starts to unravel.
“Having built and maintained a brick wall between his two worlds, Angelo has seamlessly juggled and compartmentalized for years,” the series synopsis says. “But now that’s all about to change, because Alzheimer’s is a foe he can’t outrun, and he knows too well how this ends.”
The series is based on “De Zaak Alzheimer (The Alzheimer Case),” a book by Belgian novelist Jef Geeraerts, which has already been adapted for the screen twice: first in a 2003 Belgian film of the same name, then in the 2022 movie “Memory” starring Liam Neeson.
