R&B star’s eyes appeared to bleed at show weeks after he claimed he is dying

Was blood really coming out of Ray J’s eyes during his Valentine’s Day show in Shreveport, Louisiana?

Well, it might have been some sort of stage gimmick, but video from the show certainly appears to show red liquid dripping from his eye as he sings and that had folks worried. He also appeared to have some sort of dressed and bandaged area near his heart as he performed. It all made for a disturbing showing from the R&B star just weeks after he shocked fans by announcing he may have less than a year to live.

Ray J has yet to address whether the blood was real or fake for the performance or what the bandaged area on his chest might have been, but he has been open on social media about his health issues so it is likely he will eventually comment on it.

The singer made his troubling health announcement back in January.

“I want to thank everybody for praying for me,” the singer said in the live video. “I was in a hospital. My heart’s only beating like 25 percent, but as long as I stay focused and stay on the right path, everything will be all right. So, thank you for all your prayers. What a way to start this thing off.”

“My health is not OK, so I thank everybody for supporting and praying for me through everything I’ve been in the hospital.”

The singer also told fans, “2027 is definitely a wrap for me.”

People Magazine said the singer said that his heart had turned “black” from drug and alcohol abuse.

Ray J wrote alongside the video, “Just almost died!! I’m alive because of your prayers and support!!”

The revelation came on the heels of the singer being admitted to the hospital in January with pneumonia and heart pain, per TMZ. The outlet reported that the singer underwent X-rays and an echocardiogram at the time.

People Magazine said that Ray J was also admitted to the hospital with pneumonia back in 2021.

Ray J, whose real names is William Ray Norwood Jr., rose to fame in the 1990s.

The 45-year-old R&B singer released his first album in 1994. He has released 15 albums total with the last one, “Bomb Pizza,” coming in 2023. He also has a long list of television and film credits.
