Ball numbers, how to watch, fixture dates, potential opponents – 2025/26 FA Cup fifth round draw

Manchester City will now find out their opponents for the fifth round of this season’s FA Cup after a largely comfortable victory on Saturday afternoon.

Pep Guardiola and his players battled it out against League Two side Salford City for the second consecutive season in the FA Cup, following an 8-0 win at home in the third round of last campaign’s tournament.

The latest encounter between the two clubs would bring about a much more closely fought affair however, with Manchester City edging out their cross-town competitors via a narrow 2-0 scoreline on Saturday afternoon.

The Etihad Stadium credited City’s opener inside 10 minutes to Omar Marmoush, but replies would confirm that the hosts had benefited from a sixth own goal this season, the latest courtesy of Alfie Dorrington.

Failing to double their advantage until the closing moments, a decisive second goal would come thanks to substitute Marc Guehi, striking home from close range to ensure passage into the next round of the tournament.
