What to watch on Day 10 at Winter Olympics: Women’s hockey semis, curling, pairs skating

Unless there is some kind of debacle on ice for either the U.S. or Canadian women’s hockey teams, these powerhouses are destined to meet for the gold medal. But they still have work to do Monday on Day 10 of the Milan Cortina Winter Olympics.
The Americans and Canadians are heavily favored in their semifinal games and, if they win, will vie for the championship Thursday.
Meanwhile, the U.S. and Canadian women’s curlers will try to keep making progress toward qualifying for the semifinals, and Japan seeks a first in the figure skating pairs competition.

This is the second consecutive Olympics in which Oldham has led big air qualifying; in 2022, she ended up fourth in the final.
Gu is the only woman entered in all three freestyle events at the Olympics. Competing in the big air final Monday will cost her one of the three training sessions available for the halfpipe, a scheduling conflict she called unfair.
